Innovative Athletic Design in Acheson
One of our favourite recent projects has been designing Everest Center, part of the Commercial Corner development in Acheson, AB. Our client sought our help in creating a state-of-the-art sports and recreation complex to serve as the focal point of their mixed-use commercial development, which also includes a hotel, retail and office space, and light industrial. As part of a larger project, the stadium design had to not only integrate effectively into the development as a whole, but into the surrounding community at large.
In addition to serving as a community hub for sports and recreation, Everest Center is a cutting-edge facility designed to serve Alberta’s athletes for years to come. Our design allows for the broadest possible range of physical and developmental abilities, including hockey, indoor soccer, cultural events, and more. The facility will be able to house the equivalent of four full-sized soccer fields, making it the largest stadium of its kind in Western Canada. Additionally, the stadium will include full-service restaurants, lounges, VIP areas, and more.
